Enhance your coffee experience with Compass’ temperature reader. Your new guide to take you through flavours, notes and textures to maximise the full potential of your coffee.
Why is temperature so important?
Sensitivity of taste changes at different temperatures. Each taste receptor has its own zone of sensitivity. For example, our hot tactile receptors peak sensitivity at about 45°C and our sweetness around 37°C.
This causes the same coffee to keep changing in taste as it cools down. Using the Compass to monitor temperature allows you to predict and control what is experienced.
